Snow Dress

It snowed all day. Like most snow days there's a pattern. Jackson wants to go outside. Porter then follows, usually with his snow pants over his PJs. August catches on, and also wants to go outside. Each kid has their own hunts for gloves, socks, hats. I try to limit the participation, because each kid adds the time to prep, watch, and get in the house. But I don't say no.

Copeland today was last, (Gaines even). But she threw a fit because she wanted to wear a dress. A complete mess. Jenn battled it for a few minutes. Then we said, "Ok".

She'll get to see how cold it can be to play in the snow with bare legs.

No pictures were taken. But she tottled around in her dress and winter coat, and pink rain boots (another necessity). She pulled a sled, rode it, and shoveled snow.

"Copeland are you cold?"

"No"

Cold? no. But she complained a lot. About the color shovel. About how fast the other boys were walking. About wanting Gaines on the sled with her. Most things.

In the end, she refused to admit that a dress and snow don't mix. She may never admit it. She also insisted on being the last one in.

I guess we taught her a lesson, huh?
